"Reaching the World One Block at a Time"
Adopt-A-Block Roseville consists of volunteers that hit the streets of Roseville, Citrus Heights, Carmichael, and South Sacramento every Saturday morning. Armed with trash bags, groceries, and pockets full of candy, we go to the same Low Income areas knocking door to door on a weekly basis.
Whether we provide formula, diapers, and infant clothing to a mother in need, or simply a listening ear to an elderly person, our goal is to build relationships and meet needs, that we might see improvements in individual lives as well as in the community.
We truly believe that by being faithful, consistent, and committed to the people that we are working with, there lives will be changed and their self-worth restored.
Most people feel that they cannot possibly make that great of an impact on this world, but we at Adopt-A-Block would tend to disagree. One of our mottos is “In the whole you may be only one, but to one you may be the whole world.” As we go out the great number of people in need doesn’t overwhelm us, instead we look for the one person who needs and an encouraging word and a helping hand.
Come help us make a difference in someone's life. If you can love people, hand out groceries, or listen we need you!
We meet every Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
