There are many incredible truths in the Word of God that can and will change everything in our life if we will choose to apply and believe them.
That being said, there are some that stand out even more than others. Our part is to dig into the Word of God and discover what they are.
The most important key was given to us by Jesus!
In Mark 4, Jesus gives an incredible parable and tells us that this particular parable is the key for all the other truths in the Kingdom of God. He taught through His teaching and doctrine about a sower who sows.
He goes on to talk about the man going out and sowing seeds and the four different grounds that he sows the seed in. The disciples come back to Jesus later on in that chapter and He explains what the sower is.
The sower is the one that brings the Word of God into people’s life. Whether it is Jesus bringing the Word of God, your next door neighbor, or even a little child; someone is bringing that Word to your life.
He says something that is very important: As we bring the Word of God and the truths of the Word of God, the promises of the Word are like seeds. I like to say it this way: God’s miracles, God’s healing, God’s provision, everything that God has given to us comes in seed form. The miracle is in the seed. If we’ll take that seed and plant it; we WILL see God’s Word producing in our life!
Jesus talks about four grounds. The seed can be planted in the good ground, the wayside, the rocky ground or it can be planted in thorny ground. Each one of those describes what the heart condition of the sower is all about. I don’t know about you, but I made up my mind I’m going to stay planted in the good ground.
Here’s what the good ground looks like: You hear the Word of God; you receive the Word of God and then you make up your mind that God’s Word works for you! Let me explain it to you this way:
What do you need and what are you believing God for?
Whatever your need is, clearly define it. Is it a healing miracle; a financial miracle; a relational miracle? Whatever your need is, get that clear in your mind and write it down.
Find a seed to meet that need!
Find out what God’s Word has to say about that need in your life. What does God’s Word have to say about finances; healing; peace; raising a great family; believing God for wayward sons or daughters? God has a promise for every need. God has a seed for every need! Find out what the Word of God has to say about your specific need.
Plant your seed!
Believe and declare, “This seed (name your seed), is planted in my heart! It’s working in my life. God IS doing a miracle.” After you plant that seed, the seed now requires water.
Water your seed!
The Bible says in Ephesians 5:26 that the Word of God is like water. So now we water that seed which is a promise from God’s Word. Then we water it with even more of what God’s Word has to say about that particular issue.
If it’s finances it might look like this: My God supplies all my needs according to His riches in Glory. (Philippians 4:19) God gives me the power to get wealth. (Deuteronomy 8:18) Continue daily watering that seed with the Word of God.
After we water the seed, it’s time to let it grow!
Praise and thank God that His Word is at work!
Jesus goes on in Mark 4 and He says even while we sleep the Word is working! Even when we don’t know how it’s working, it’s working!
Here’s what I want you to do:
- Decide what it is you need…
- Identify your seed; find Scripture in the Word about your need…
- Plant your seed and declare the Word to be working and producing in your life…
- Water your seed by daily speaking the Word of God over it…
- Begin to Praise God and continuously declare: It’s WORKING and PRODUCING in my life!
I pray these life-changing truths are a blessing to you! If you’ll apply and live them, they WILL change your life!
