God wants to do something for you, with you and in you right now. He’s ready… are you?
Jesus told us our Father desires to give us the Kingdom; the very Kingdom of God.
Now that should make you stop and think, what is the Kingdom of God? It’s a glory and a power that comes from another world, another dimension. When it manifests in this dimension, everything gets really good. Life gets better; your marriage improves exponentially. Literally everything starts working when we receive the Kingdom of God.
Understand this: it doesn’t come with natural observation. When the Kingdom of God comes, it begins to dwell on the inside of us. Romans 14:17 describes the Kingdom of God as righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.
“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”
Righteousness says, “I’m right with God. I can approach God.”
Hebrews 4:16 says,
“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
We can come BOLDLY into the throne of grace. Think about what “the throne of grace” means to us. First, what IS grace? It’s a hard word to articulate for many. Everything that is good and lovely; and everything that comes from God is all by grace. God’s power is by grace. God’s righteousness comes by His grace. Salvation comes by His grace. It’s ALL by grace.
In Heaven there’s a throne and it flows with grace.
There’s an acrostic that many of you are familiar with: G.R.A.C.E…. God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense. The truth is, that’s only a partial definition of what grace really is. The grace I am talking about flows out of God’s throne. Forgiveness flows out of His throne. Mercy flows out of His throne. Healing flows from the very throne of God. Love flows from that throne. I promise you this: if you’ll come boldly into the throne of grace and obtain mercy, you WILL FIND the grace to help you in your time of need.
God wants to give you that grace; that empowerment; that “ah ha” moment; that enlightenment to help you get out of whatever it is that is a need. All you have to do is receive it.
The Bible says, “Come BOLDLY to the throne of grace.”
“Boldly” is an interesting word. It means come with confidence or with an outspokenness. In the Greek it goes on to say, “Bluntness.” That means you can literally go into the very throne room of God and BE BLUNT! It’s as easy as, “God, I’m messed up and I need help!” You will find the grace and obtain mercy to help you when you do that!
Hear me on this: mercy FORGIVES YOU, but the grace EMPOWERS YOU to walk it out. Mercy helps you to be in a position to receive. It’s because of God’s mercy you are washed from all your sins and cleansed from all your unrighteousness. Mercy gives you the avenue to come and now bluntly, confidently speak out and receive what you have need of. It’s even more exciting to know that it is for everyone! It’s for ALL of us!!!
Look at what Hebrews 4:14-16 says:
“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
Jesus is our High Priest… and He’s touched with our infirmities. Understand that “infirmities” CAN mean sickness, disease or physical issues. However, the broader definition of infirmities simply means “an inability to produce results.” In other words, this is saying we can’t meet every need in our own lives apart from God. We aren’t capable of producing everything we will need throughout our life. We can’t even bring all of what we’ll need to be happy and full of joy. Only God can do that. This verse is talking about the fact that Jesus is our High Priest and He’s easily touched with our “inability to produce results.”
When I’m preaching, I feel the anointing of the High Priest: Jesus. I look around and I see needs. I can walk up and down the aisles and begin telling people that God has an answer for their marriage. He has answers for their worry and fear. He has an answer for the struggle that they have and all the anger and animosity they are carrying in their life. He has an answer for the fear that keeps them paralyzed in life and keeps them from living the way God wants them to live. I can tell them God has an answer for all of those things. Why can I tell them all of this? Not because I understand it all or have even experienced everything they are going through, I can say it because I know Who God is! I KNOW what the Word says about who Jesus is and what He came to do!
This is personal to you! The Word says that the High Priest, Jesus Himself, is touched by what you are going through. Think about that! He’s seated at the right hand of the power of God; the right hand of the throne of God; the right hand, where all the power comes from, (God Himself), and He’s seated there to make intercession for you and to bridge the gap! All you have to do is receive it.
I know that sounds too easy doesn’t it? That’s what makes it challenging. It IS too easy. So instead we try to complicate it. We try to push the right button or pull the right lever; while all the time it’s been given to us freely. We mess it up by trying to earn it. We mess it up by saying, “oh God if I just pray harder… If I just fast more… If I just read more of my Bible… Maybe THEN I’ll receive.” The truth is, you can receive right now without doing all those things.
If you have a lukewarm or cold spirit, RECEIVE the FIRE of GOD! Receive the ZEAL that comes from Heaven! It’s all from God! All you are is a vessel… and a vessel is just a mud pot being shaped by the Potter. The Potter has what you need!
God is here. He wants to touch you. What is it you have need of the most? Do you need healing in your physical body? Do you need finances? What about emotional healing or a breakthrough of some kind? Whatever it is, just receive. Lift your hands up to God and speak out and receive by faith!
It’s as simple as this: “Lord, I receive from You! I receive the power of God going into my body, into my finances, my relationships, my emotions and in every area of my life! Thank You Lord for healing, provision and every need met! Thank You Lord for sending Jesus to die for me… to shed His blood for me; to take stripes on His back so I could be made whole. Lord, I receive from Heaven! Thank You Lord that every need I have is met in You… in Jesus Name!!!
Listen, whatever your need is: financial, physically, spiritual, emotional, relational… it really doesn’t matter. The answer is the same. Reach out and receive your answer by faith from the God who has your answer. Speak God’s Word, His promise as you receive! YIELD to His power and presence!
The key to everything in our lives in the Kingdom of God is an issue of yielding. We yield to Jesus Christ. We yield to the powers of Heaven. We yield to the love of God.
In other words, instead of allowing our flesh to work, we are to yield to love. What does that look like? I believe it looks as simple as lifting your hands to the Father in surrender… like a child lifts their hands to a parent. It’s not a lot of words and it’s not a lot of effort. It’s a whole lot of surrender. We are to yield to the power of God and thank Him for all that He has done, is doing and will do.
Remember this: everything in the Kingdom comes in seed form. Jesus was asked about the Kingdom of God and He said the best way He could explain it is it’s like a man going out and sowing. He was saying the Kingdom of God is like a seed. One portion of Scripture says it’s like a mustard seed. Though it’s the smallest of all the seeds, yet when it’s put in the ground it will grow up bigger than any of the herbs and grow to a place that even the birds can come and nest in it.
Think about that. The Kingdom is a seed. Everything God wants to get TO you comes in seed form. What does a seed do? Does it struggle to sprout? Does a seed struggle to get out and become the tree or bear fruit? No, it just grows. It yields to the water; it yields to the ground; it continues to yield year after year; and it just starts growing.
Here’s the KEY: The more we yield to the things of God; the more we yield to the Holy Spirit; the more we yield to all that God is trying to get to us, the more we will receive!
If you’re fighting and struggling for your healing… YIELD! Quit fighting!
If you’re fighting and struggling in your finances… YIELD! Quit fighting!
If you’re fighting and struggling over issues going on in your life… YIELD! Quit fighting the process! You are struggling because you aren’t yielding. Once you yield, you won’t struggle!!!
Whatever it is you have need of, receive it! Receive His forgiveness; receive His goodness! We make it so hard but all we have to do is just yield.
Let this be your prayer: Father I thank You for what You are doing in me and through me. Teach me Lord on what it means to live a yielded life. Teach me what it is to truly yield myself and surrender in a way that I am fully yielding to all the forces and influences of Heaven! I give You praise, glory and honor for all that You are doing in me! In Jesus Name! Amen.
Now… stop fighting, stressing and worrying… and start yielding to God and all that He has for you! Surrender it all to Him! Yield to His love, His peace, His presence and His Word! You will find a whole new level of joy, peace and strength when you learn to yield!
